In this country house on the outskirts of Parma we have combined two residential units to allow the owners to have an important kitchen, a better distribution of spaces and quality of life.

The creation of a kitchen and dining area by recovering the space used as a garage was a job carried out in close collaboration with the clients and with a local company. We intervened by carrying out controlled demolitions of deteriorated environments and creating a large space connected to the mezzanine floor of the main house. The pre-existing cellar was connected to the space through an opening inserted in the structures of the kitchen columns and the entire flooring was then resined with the external part also arranged. The light enters directly from the facade made of glass and full-height iron. The courage of the clients allowed a very successful mixture of ancient and contemporary in our opinion.

Union of two residential units in the historic center. The client’s choice to stay and live in a so-called “decay” area has stimulated us to create a welcoming and formal home, elegant and at the same time imposing. A very rational vision of the way of living the everyday is reflected in the accuracy of the arrangement of small things, the photos are nothing more than a clear testimony of the formal balance achieved.

Renovation of a house in the historic center where the upper floor is made with a structural walkway for a better use of the spaces and to give air and light to the whole. Particular attention to the kitchen environment made with a suspended load-bearing structure to recall the walkway placed exactly above.
