CH25 Lounge Chair is one of the first four chairs created by Hans J. Wegner exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn at the beginning of their collaboration which began in 1949. The chair, considered revolutionary at the time, was put into production in 1950. Its soft and enlarged shapes offer extreme comfort and a unique versatility of its kind.

CH25 Lounge Chair, like many other design pieces by Hans J. Wegner, takes on a distinctive shape in its being simple and clean. It takes 10 hours and about 400 meters of rope worked by a skilled craftsman to manually complete a seat and a back, using a particular technique similar to weaving, visible on both sides of the back. The surprising result of this rigorous process is an exceptional chair, fascinating in all respects.
